I am a graduate of The Institute for Integrative Nutrition and am a certified Health Coach.

Health Coaching encourages the individual, not the physician, to establish goals by focusing on self-management and internal motivation. Health coaches partner with patients to identify health goals, and to help clients cultivate a healthier lifestyle.

We as coaches help change behaviors that lead to chronic disease, doctors aren't enough.

Health Coaches are mentors who help others feel their best through individualized food and lifestyle changes. Coaches emphasizes holistic health beyond the plate: career, education, health, physical activity, home cooking, home environment, relationship, social life, joy, creativity, and spirituality.  All play an important piece in the whole puzzle of wellness.

The most overlooked practice is the need for self-care. It's so vital that we take time to care for ourselves emotionally. It doesn't mean that you selfishly choose yourself over others. Rather, it means that you are mindful of your own needs. It improves immunity, increases positive thinking and makes us less susceptible to stress, anxiety and depression. When you care for yourself you are better able to meet the needs of others. It can be as simple as taking a walk in nature, aromatherapy bath, or meditation. I believe everyone can find what works best for them and it it is well worth the commitment.

Health Coaching can help create life transformations that will help you to navigate what isn't working in your life and will empower and help you connect to your true selves. We will create a personalized health plan that will take you from where you are currently to where you want to be with your overall health goals.

Everything we do, think, feel and put into our bodies effect our state of well-being. The mind and body are not separate; each affects and compliments the other. A healthy gut leads to a stronger immune system which is connected to the brain through nerves that control inflammation. Our gut bacteria is responsible for 95% of the body's supply of serotonin, the main hormone that stabilizes our mood, feelings of well-being and happiness. It also helps with eating, sleeping and digestion. We usually don't associate anxiety or stress to the gut.

            Bottom line, diet and lifestyle work as a pair. You can't have one without the other. I've come to realize this through my own journey of finding what works for my well-being, on all levels. I've tried a long list of modalities to find the right fit for my needs. I share this because for me this wasn't always easy, and my biggest obstacle was unlearning all my old habits. It took time and effort, and it is still a work in progress. Here is a list that has remained in my routine: Meditation (there are many forms one must try for themselves), breathwork techniques, healthier diet, physical exercise on a regular basis and journaling are all my go-to's.

            During my own journey, I have been introduced to amazing mentors who have given me much needed insight and tools to navigate my own life's challenges by using a myriad of approaches.

            It's definitely a balance and a process into areas where the problems exist. We as health coaches do not diagnose, treat or prescribe, but offer day to day support and guidance and have the time to truly listen, whereas doctors have neither the time nor training to provide. Today, doctors are now realizing the important function of health coaching and have begun to employ them into their practices.

            I have discovered that Wellness is a continual process. It's an investment in yourself towards a fulfilling life, the real fuel for happiness and balance that only you can find from within. It's about change and renewal. I would love to offer you my support and  help you be accountable as I guide you towards your goals. It's all possible! All it takes is one small step forward to a better life we all deserve. After all, we only have this one life.

            By working together, not alone. As health coaches we will fille the gap between doctor and patient. We emphasize holistic health, and we partner with you to inspire and create transformative growth that is individualized. There is no "one size fits all" philosophy.
