Transformative Steps to Change One's Life

One of the most transformative steps for me was learning to be present. My mind was either fluctuating between the past or worrying about the future. As with most of us our sufferings are created in our minds and played over and over again. The "what ifs" or "should haves" about the past or anxiously about the future. This serves no purpose and prevents us from concentrating on the now. Not until we unlearn that negative programming and change our mindset will we be able to build a new life and detach from thought that cloud our minds and prevent us from living our fullest life.

An important beginning step starts with intention. As Wayne Dyer said,

It’s a determination propelling one to succeed at all costs by never giving up on the inner picture.

It's something that helps us grow, pushing ourselves to transform. Once that has been established setting goals gives you long-term vision and motivation. We, at the end of the day, have the ability to choose what we want and what will make us happy. After all, the future is the extension of your now, so the decisions that we make now are the most important. I struggled for years of being unable to set on intention. I was too consumed in my own unhappiness with no idea what direction to take. It finally came to a point when I needed to learn how to surrender instead of always opposing the flow. It was a constant internal battled.

Becoming a Health Coach helped me in seeing many things differently. It gave me a new purpose and a renewed sense of accomplishment and I knew I was going in the right direction. I was greatly influenced by amazing life changing teachings and mentors in this field. I discovered it is possible to determine what you can and cannot control and learned to differentiate between dwelling on something or solving the problem. There are many alternative practices to help guide in the right direction. Health coaching provided these valuable tools. Think of Michelangelo, he took this massive block of marble and chiseled away, day after day, for over two years at the end of which he finished the Statue of David.  Life is a continual journey and healing is not a short process. It requires hours of work and dedication. Everyone can create their own masterpiece.

To conclude, I would like to touch upon one last topic: self-limiting and negative beliefs. Out of everything we face, this destructive cycle drains your energy. Limiting beliefs paralyze all reality of a human being by distorting the trust.

Your thoughts, feelings and body make up your self-concept, but this is not who you truly are.
— Eckhart Tolle

We believe so many assumptions and untruths about ourselves limiting our chances of future potential and new ways to move forward.  It's that ever present fear of failure that. That is why we must develop a new mindset and new set of patterns. Think of all those times you wanted to do something but were held back. Stuck in that mindset. We are what we think, and we must break these habits.

Believe it and you will see it.
— Wayne Dyer

Health is much more than the absence of disease. It's a total state of well-being including mental, emotional, spiritual and social components. In Health Coaching it's essential to combine all areas of life that can be influential along with how those factors may differ from person to person. My job is to work together to find the root causes and treat the underlying disturbances in order to adapt and restore balance. Let me be your partner with you towards personal growth and health.
